Contemporary artists love Naples just as ancient ones used to: the city’s vitality was and still is their muse. The itinerary begins at the MADRE Museum for Contemporary Arts “Donnaregina”, where we will visit the both temporary and resident shows. By strolling along via Duomo, we will reach piazza Riario Sforza and the area of Forcella, where we will admire the graffiti depicting San Gennaro and Caravaggio. We will admire the facade the Museo Filangieri’s peculiar exhibition, and then reach Largo Gerolomini to admire Bansky’s artwork: a depiction of a Madonna holding a gun. We will then visit a graffiti depicting Fidel Castro. The tour will end with a visit to the laboratory of an artist who, despite having reached international fame, has kept strong roots to the city. If you wish, we will organise a fixed-price lunch or dinner in a traditional pizzeria in the area. |
